Great for families! Easy set up!, March 30, 2012 This review is from: Lightspeed Periapsis 4 Tent (Sports) In a Lightspeed tent, all of the poles are built into the tent and attached to their revolutionary hub system that allows the tent to be set up in seconds. I was skeptical of this claim, but my hubby was able to set this tent up in about a minute. It also was very easy, not any complicated instructions.
The main things I liked about this tent are:
It sets up and tears down quickly and easily
It is roomy inside
Has great ventilation with three large windows
Has a large front door for easy access
Has a dual-peak rainfly which allows visibility out back window
It packs easily in its own carrying case
As I mentioned above, this tent is roomy. It easily accommodates our family of 4 and it would be comfortable for 4 adults to sleep in too. It is surprisingly well made for a tent that is in the "affordable" category. The tent did hold up to the wind, but I would recommend that the front of the tent should face into the wind for... Besides all that it is the best looking tent in the campground. I have had many campers ask where I got it and all were shocked when I told them how reasonably priced it is. Thank you Lightspeed!
Easy set up, Great Camping Partner!, March 27, 2012 This review is from: Lightspeed Periapsis 4 Tent (Sports) The Periapsis 4 really is my go- to tent. My young daughters were protected from the rain on our most recent camping trip. I have had "waterproof" tents in the past that were anything but. I am a short girl, but I can set this tent up all by myself. The fact that the poles are built in to the tent make it so easy and goof proof. These tents are roomier than they seem, and they are great to use when traveling with children. My favorite feature of this tent is that is really is super easy to set up. I don't feel like I am rigging it on a prayer and hoping it won't fall during the night. I have had other campers comment on my tent.
We switched over from the Coleman brand about 4 years ago after we noticed a decline in quality. Lightspeed has yet to make a product I don't like. We also own the Screen house. I will continue to purchase their products in the future. The customer service and support are superior to most companies I have dealt with.
